Just Purchased SH Bundle

Just purchased SH bundle.

I've loaded up SH5 and was wondering what mods are recommended. I had read some reviews which were written when the sim was released that said it was buggy, etc. I also read that there are mods available that fix a lot of the issues. Any suggestions on how I should get started? The 1.2 patch is loaded. I'm not sure if it fixes the major issues. I just want to start out on the 'right foot' so to speak. Thanks!

The first thing you'll want to do is patch your exe and act files with my Generic Patcher to get rid of almost all the stock game bugs. I also have some patches that add new items/functions/features to the game. You can find my Generic Patcher in the SH5 mods forum.

Their are quite a few stable mod lists on this forum like Fifi's mod soup that works fine and is stable, but most of these mod lists are quite demanding on your system, so the first question is, what are your Pc Specs?

Thanks for the welcome and the response. I just picked up a new laptop with i7 and Nvidia GTX 660M it should be able to run most of the demanding mods.

I'm particularly interested in applying mods/fixes needed to correct bugs. Being new to SH5 I still need to go through quite a bit of learning. I just don't want to encounter bugs or goofy stuff along the way.

Having said that are there any tuturials you'd recommend. I noticed someone posted some Let's Play videos. Any other suggestions?

I just bought Sh5 from gamersgate. It was dirt cheap. I didn't buy this game at release because of the bugs. Many are still there, much worse than sh3 or 4 but I have to say, I'm actually enjoying the game quite a lot. It it pretty, and the best rendition of submarine life and atmospheric with the ability to walk around the sub etc. I've installed a ton of mods already and done some of my own bug fixes too. The exe patchers I have tried haven't worked on the gamers gate exe version I have though.
