Default SH3 to SH5

Hi guys,

I'm sure you get this question a lot, but I played a lot of SH3 way back when (and actually started again) and didnt realize we were already at SH5! Reading reviews discourages me, could you guys enlighten me if this is worth picking up? I loved GWX if that helps any.

More than 20 times it's been asked, and hundreds of answers.

General concensus of SH5 players: Well worth the five bucks it costs now.
Other players: No, it's not worth it.

If you want the best graphic experience you can get in a type VII u-boat, be able to walk through the boat and talk to a couple of officers and have five different merchant types to sink, then SH5 modded is the best subsim ever.

If you want to play in a Type II or IX or XXI, and want a full crew and more than one hundred merchant types, register a name and cargo for every ship you sink, have to stop for the gates at the canal entrances and be attacked by blimps, then stick with SH3.

SH5 was a little difficult for me to mod, but now that I have it's really fun! I've been playing both, to be honest, because I didn't get enough time with SH3. I'm still new to the genre. It's so cheap, you might as well try it.

Absotively! SH4!! I really love the start of the war in the Asiatic/Philippines. It's exciting when you have a couple of good radio news mods to go along with the supermods. Exciting, scary, and the missions and ships are great. Getting sunk is bad...
