Hi all
I googled the above title as I was curious to find something someone may have completed within subsim. I came across this post: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom//sho...d.php?t=115219 I know it is some years old. Basically I want to find a list that has events within the war in chronological order. It might add a little realism to Bdu orders (which can of course be assigned to yourself using SH3 Commander) such as patrol the harbour area of Norway at a certain date as they know that Germany will very soon attack that country, therefore allowing an easy entrance to the harbour in preparation for sinking previously non threatened ships. Any ideas or links? Thanks guys ![]() |

I'd like to know if there is a list also. You can "cheat" and go into the editor and open the .scr campaign file. Change the start date + end date to the same month/date as the month you will be patrolling in. (If you leave the end date as the end of the war you will see useless info/patrol orders for way too many ships and not whats happening in the month you are wondering about.)
This will allow you to see when certain harbours change hands so you have a general idea of when war is declared. It also shows you the locations of enemy ships, most notably where flagships/battleships are. They are usually in well guarded ports but this map also shows where the minefields and submarine nets are for that area. Also try opening the .rnd campaign file within the editor. This will show convoy routes for that month. For example if I open the editor, open campaign.scr, and set start date/end date to 03/1940.... I can see that there is a VIIC heading North towards the area E of Scotland, which is about to encounter a task force. That might be an interesting event but I think the VIIC gets sunk before I can arive to help it. |

The GWX manual has all scripted events listed in chronological order and sends you radio orders telling you to deploy in support of these operations (my minor part in the awesome work of the GWX team).
If you Mission Orders Lite, you'll only receive the orders that correspond with scripted events in GWX.

Unfortunately I can't open the GWX manual. Not sure what I've done when installing. However I'm currently noting down when each country entered the war via the flag drop-down in Bino station etc. That'll help with being able to enter harbours without too much risk from patrolling destroyers. Getting out might be another matter though

Try this link, the manual .pdf is at the bottom of the page. If that doesn't work then re-install adobe reader. Adobe always bugs out on me every few months or so for some reason. http://get.adobe.com/reader/ |
