WTH IS THIS?!

so i finally got a new sub...was delighted lol ...more torpedos, more engine power...new conning tower with 2 aa guns...so.....as i saved and shutdown my game leaving me with 12 command points and a new sub and conning tower...i loaded back up to find that i HAVE LOST IT ALL!!! no conning tower...no new sub....no anything...just the same old bucket of bolts i had but in the last save position...anyone know what might have caused that and how to fix it?

oh ya nearly forgot..anyone know what could be causing me to not hear my engines or waves ? i can walk around and hear my own footsteps and hear oreders but not the engines or the noises of anything else... also...if i plot say bearing 196...i go literally everywhere else on the map except 196 and its pretty irradic...dunno if it has something to do with time compression or not... any help would be greatly appreciated.... its sad i have to post so many technical questions about this game...sorry guys...deepest apologies...i know u guys prob got better things to do then answer these stupid questions...wish this game wasnt so busted
