trespassers then? We will spend weeks figuring out the best way to describe these folks and not actually solving the issue of providing a good path to citizenship.

![]() ![]() I liked the one comment by the guy who said that next drug dealers will start demanding to be called "undocumented pharmacists". At the annual Hispanic rally a few years back one woman was carrying a sign saying "I am not a criminal!" I only saw the picture, so I couldn't tell her "If you are here in violation of the law, then you are a lawbreaker. That's what a criminal is." If you go to another country in violation of their immigration laws, then you are indeed an illegal alien. How much intelligence does it take to figure that out? This guy's an idiot, and he wants to make it all better by changing the language.

Obfuscation at it's finest.
Why do they even pass laws if they have no intentions of enforcing them? Worse, they allow our borders to be penetrated like swiss cheese and then allow these crimiinals to claim rights. My advice to them is become a naturalized citizen and then you've earned the same rights as everyone else. Illegal immigrants/aliens in the eyes of our laws are the proper terms, as well as criminals whether they like it or not. Bandying cree words doesn't change the truth. Only our uninvited guests can change it by becoming naturalized. Not by becoming jailhouse lawyers.

Of course these are proper terms. The idea and perception need to change. Not the words. This is why it is word smithing. The problem here is months and $$$ are spent deciding what terms to use. Nonsense.

Cowards is the more appropriate term.
Why take the proper path to the home of the brave when you can sneak in the basement door and claim ownership of the house with new terms for your status?
Thieves, miscreants, squatters and invaders are all accurate terms. But most of all Cowards fits like a glove. Side stepping all the proper channels and turning into a lobbyist to entreat our government to grant them favor is as cowardly as it gets. Not only on the part of our uninvted guests but also on the part of the people in DC for even allowing them an audience. The gentleman in the article should have been detained and deported as soon as he hit the capitol steps.
