Game crashes by opening the world map

I have a problem with my silent hunter 5. When I open the world map the game crashes. I'm confused

What version of SH5? Have you updated it to the latest version - 1.2?
Are you running it with any mods? What are your computer's specs - are they high enough? Are you running Win 8, because there aren't that many people who do and we know very few things about how the game runs in it.

Can't really help you, based on the info you have provided.

Garryyan..... welcome to Subsim. Standard things post along with your problem are things Targor mentioned. Computer specs, Mods, recent changes, if its patched to 1.2...etc. Hope we can help you out.
