SH3 commander.. Must be doing something wrong

Finally got all my mods ready with GWX.

I installed SH3 commander and also installed that .exe fix for it.

Started commander and selected 2nd fortilla and a date of Jan. 1940

I start the game via commander and see my name for my new career, I have to select the right year and fortilla and start.. but the month is not right, its showing Aug and not Jan.

something must be wrong right?

Whats the deal with being able to give every single crew member of mine a medal?
I don't get it.

The game only lets you give one medal per patrol, one promotion per patrol and one qualification per patrol. Every single petty officer should have a qualification. It's what makes him a petty officer in the first place. The same goes for badges. Every crewman was awarded the U-boat Badge after his second patrol. The game lets you give out a few, but not the way it was really done. As for medals, yes, it's silly to hand them out like candy, but the idea is that it's your choice, not the game's.
