Default Can it be done?

I am playing SH4 v1.4 with TMO 1.7.6, and I'm trying to make the KAIBOKAN ESCORT more "deadly" (even without the pinging). I have tried adjusting the CREW STATUS and other files to turn it into the elite hunter-killer it was in real life. The path: Program files/Ubisoft/SH4/Data/Cfg/Sim leads to a notebook page that lists the settings for AI sensor settings, i.e. sonar (passive and active), radar, etc. The problem is that these settings are for ALL destroyers and escorts in general. I was wondering if it would be possible to copy / paste this page to each destroyer or escort file so that I can adjust a particular ship's sensors without it affecting the others, or does the game's hardwire files prevent it?

For anyone who read my above post and wanted to give it a try, need not bother. I copy / pasted the SIM and SENSOR notebook pages to the KAIBOKAN ESCORT and MINEKAZE DESTROYER files and altered the files in the Kaibokan Escort, then ran two seperate scenarios, one with the Kaibokans as escorts, and the other with the Minekaze as escorts. The Minekaze escorts were also affected by the file change made on the Kaibokan. So no matter where the files are located, or how many times, they still alter ALL AI ships with sensors if they are modified.

Yep, that is the case for the most part. If you want to make a ship more deadly you could alter the crew rating. The crew rating is like a modifier for the AI sensor, change the rating to veteran or elite, the ship becomes much more deadly. Course to do this, you would have to change it for each specific ship using notepad.
