Default Questions about DESTROYER COMMAND.

I just purchased an old SSI game called DESTROYER COMMAND. I patched it to 1.1 and found several mods to download here at SUBSIM. (some worked and some didn't). I realized that because it's an old sim, the graphics aren't the greatest, but for the most part it's an interesting game. I have a couple questions: 1) Are there any mods, or directory fixes that can correct some ship inaccuracies? For instance: The British V/W destroyers are missing a smoke stack/funnel. The US Farragut destroyers have covered turrets in the back, when in pictures I've seen online, they're open/exposed guns. 2) Are there any mods or directory changes for ship skins/paint schemes? I realize it's an old game and that I'm probably kicking a dead horse, but it can't hurt to ask.

Welcome to subsim, you might be better off asking questions about old games at this forum:

there is some info about DC mods here:

I'd have to search at home, I had some mods for DC that were great.

Destroyer Command was an awesome game and being able to link up with Silent Hunter 2 and play inter-op games against human sub players was amazing.....when it worked. Up until then there was nothing else out there like it. They were the first games to offer human vs. human play using two seperate game titles. Glad I was there!

As far as DC goes, it was a great game and I would love to see UBI or some other superpower create a new version, but I doubt very much that it would ever happen simply because there is not enough interest to make it profitable. ack..........
