Default SH4 u-boat expansion

Hi all
I recently re-install SH 3 with mods and SH 4. I never purchased the expansion for it, but looking at all the mods for version 1.5 and it seems like it would be worth getting...better late then never

I looked on Ebay, but could only find the expansion from sellers outside the US. The shipping cost doesn't make it the economical choice. I see that Amazon has it as a digital download and pretty cheap. Is there any reason not to get the digital download instead of the physical disk? Never gone the digital download route for a game before.

Thanks

I personally prefer the hard disk because of computer issues and is available at any time with out having to remember download codes.

As for the cost is not really that much when you compare to when it first came available to the public. Amazon is the way to go, click on top header
right side of page of page to support subsim.

I've never had the digital formats either, but they seem to have issues at times. Some say they work ok, but not everyone is happy with them. I'd go with the disc, if possible.

Default Letting it simmer...

Thanks for the reply. I would rather have a physical disk, but if there is no difference between the programs themselves I may go ahead and get the Amazon download version ( of course using the subsim link) and grab a boxed version when one shows up on Ebay US.

I had better get off the computer, and get back to the house full of people before my wife puts me on the bottom permanently

I ran into the same situation, not being able to find a hard-copy version from inside the US; I chose the digital version from Amazon, and have had no issues. Amazon is very reputable and well organized; they keep a list of your digital content, so if you do have to do a re-install (which I have done in order to fix some mod-soup issues) it goes smoothly.
Good luck!

Default Got it

Bubblehead,

I pulled the trigger and downloaded it from Amazon through the subsim link for the reasons you stated. Got it up and running with RFB and RSRD mods. Added a few boat skins to make them look a bit more worn. When I went through sub school in New London there were still diesel boats stationed there ( showing my age ) Even with a new coat of paint they were showing their age..wanted that look for SHIV.....especially the S class boats.
