Clancy's Politika on Windows 7

How do i get this to run? I used to like this game but now cant get it to run on my Windows 7 PC.

Wow, I haven't heard of this game, sounds kind of cool as a concept!

However you might have trouble with that, since it's a Win95 game... what version of Win7 do you have? Have you tried running it as admin and/or in older-windows emulation mode?

I have run as admin, started in win 95 mode, etc.

Im running Home Premium Win7.

People will say that this plays like the game RISK. I more or less agree. I used to have it. I cant get it to run now.

Unfortunately that's common for games that were originally designed for Win95-2000. Win7 just does not do them, most of the time

One way would be to drop it as a suggestion to gog.com - they've done an excellent job porting over many a game from that era to modern systems. I actually hope that they eventually get around to a lot of the classic Clancy games...

The only other idea I would have is trying to run it on a virtual PC. However it's been a long time since I've done anything with PC emulation, so I couldn't tell you the first thing about it - might want to do some research on it, though!

I'll mess around and try and get it to work. If i do, I'll drop you a line.

Ive just recently started playing The Cardinal Of The Kremlin on DOSBox. Works like a charm. It is a very good one.

You should check it out.

I got it to install!!! But, the version i bought online requires a CD to be in the Drive.....

Registered just to remember that JAVA is required to play this game...
(and to say HELLO!, from an old time sub sims fan which no longer plays. Good old times...)
