XP SP3: Intro movie "jamming"

After clean installation of my operating system and updates to SP3 and some other programs as well, the SH3 installation to 1.4b worked well. This problem emerged and also if I update to GWX:

Intro movie plays poorly so that sound is cut into pieces and with quiet breaks every second or so. Jamming.

Anyone else encountered the same problem and what is the reason and solution.

Edit: After trying another different wmv file, the performance was OK. So is this related to the bitrate of the wmv file, or some performance issue within the media player that works under the SH3 program.. I don't know..
