Default Strange sky pixellation...

Wondering if anyone knows whats going on here (see pic), it only happens in very specific weather conditions, rough sea, overcast sky and fog.
All other combinations of weather show no such effect, ie fog with calm sea is fine, as is rough sea with clear sky.

It looks like i can see the polys of the sky dome, but i could be wrong.
Im not sure what file could be causing the problem, although i suspect it may actually just be a driver issue (nvidia gt540m running 296.10 drivers)
Anybody experienced similar issues??

Below is my list of active mods:
GWX3 gold + the following...
GWX - 16km Atmosphere
GWX - Captain America's Officer Icons
DD_OH_V3.09_20091209162038
Das Boot Clothes
Aces' Multimod compatability fix FM's Turm 7c2 Lightmaps add on
Supplement to V16A3 (JSGME)
FM_NewInterior_V1.4
camera effects
LifeBoats&Debris_v4
new wake
ExteriorLightmaps VIIc v1.0
weapon lightmaps

I don't know anything about that kind of stuff, but from what I've read before I would suspect an overworked graphics card.

Not sure, its a fairly modern dx11 card, runs pretty much everything without any problem, sh3 doesnt put much stress on the gpu either, looking at gpu usage while playing shows no more heat build up than any other game, but i'll keep an eye on it, poor thing has had a lot of use lately (cod/far cry 3 etc...)

Default same problem

Yes, I have just started getting the same problem, I have a Nvidia gt660 card. but I think it may be something to do with memory but not sure whats causing it.

Well after updating my drivers and doing everything else I could think of ive tracked down what was causing this for me.
I had managed to screw my scene.dat with some misplaced hex editing

I installed hitmans 20km mod (since i couldnt find a standalone 16km one) and the problems gone... Woo

Heck at least you gave me an idea, it was only once i started disabling the gfx intensive mods to see if you were right that i figured out it was the 16km environment that was screwed, and that it was my own fault!

No, just plain old 7c turm 1 but with my lightmap mod and a slightly tweaked gwx texture.

I'm surprised that the watch crew didn't report this immediately to you.
I mean, does the Kapitan have to be on the bridge before anything happens ??
