Default First patrol SH4+TMO2.5+RSRDC+OTC...

Well as the title said first patrol in my S-18 clunker... where to begin... I'm not a beginner but this combination of mods is hard as hell, most annoying thing are god-like abilities of escorts, in addition to slowness of this thin can (I'm always behind them), short range of Mk-10 torpedoes, large percentage of duds etc. etc.
But as I said escorts are so tough that this is unbelievable... they can see me at 15 km (what happened with my low silhouette) , hear me at 800 or so meters at 40 meters submerged in swell and wind (silent running "on", dead stop) while I'm laying in ambush... I mean I know that realism was the goal...but guys... this is a bit too much...
I can shake em off easily, they are not so tough and precise with their DC... and not so clever...
On the other hand my crew are collection of blind and deaf man, they can't see anything above 9 Km during the day and 6 Km during the night... (what's the purpose of 20 km render distance in 1.5 patch), also the night is terrifyingly dark in clear weather (is this TMO influence?).
Sonar guy is an idiot who tracks a destroyer at 8 Km as a "closest contact" while the other one rumbles at about 1 Km at 220 degrees port... maybe this will improve over time with newer sonar equipment but for now hydrophone plotting is out of the question...
Physics... well the sub needs over two minutes to dive to PD... she sinks like a stone and climbs as a bubble even without any forward movement or momentum... stops almost like a car...
Enemy ships have unbelievable ability to kick-start like a Porsche 0-60 in 5 seconds in order to evade pretty wide spread of 4 torpedoes... I had the feeling that that troop transport even somehow succeeded to bend itself in order to evade...
Don't get me wrong... this is a great game/simulation... but after GWX... hmmm... GWX is much beter tuned/refined... and German U-boats were much much more agile/better than this S-18... at least in the beginning of the war...
So far only two ships are down... still south of Formosa... 90% realism...

Well, if you've sunk two ships, you've already done one more than all of the US subs actually did combined during the entire invasion of the Phillipines

The pig boat is a bit rough, makes for a difficult start. It's fun though.

Destroyers are too much twitter in the mod, i use RFB which is more a challenge on the shinking subject, ships refuse to sink, plus only deck gun for crippled ships. Still DD are more realistic and better than stock, but not TMO unrealistic behavior. Your are your sonar man, and many times the wtchman too. GWX was more of a gaming modee If you want to dectet ships either sumerge in a 20 mile patern base, meaning you can see the green line at 20 miles away, and take into account ships speeds, or time compress (easier) an look at the watch sttuters. When it spots for a moment, the game is loaing something in your sonar range, or radar. There is no need for too smart destroyers, just map contact off, no external camara and everything at full realisim. And you will sink every here an then, no big tonnage, and lost of frustration. Plus no OTC, too much information.

By the way, for ship acceleration, use SAP 0.5

I believe that was because they did not believe it was such a capable antishipping weapon and thus they were instructed in being too cautious.

In a nutshell..yes.

Where can I find it? What SAP means?
Edit: Never mind, I found it... it's not compatible with TMO 2.5...
