I got this flash traffic message and went to investigate as I was in the area, I was looking for this convoy for a week around the Truk area and nothing turned up. I cannot seem to find this convoy anywhere in the files either, the nearest match I can come up with is this one in the 43a_jap_convoy file 1943/02/14 5+1 but that's in the north of Japan and that one doesn't appear to be in the messages file either. I wonder if the two are connected somehow, can any of you more experienced members confirm this or point me to the correct file as I'm not too great with the Mission Editor.

i believe he purposely didnt script ALL traffic so it would add realism of unpredictability to the game so its quite possible it was intended to not be there.
i know he wanted to be true to historic traffic of convoys, battles, and task forces but he also didnt want it to be where you could find a historical date and go to the spot and find it like you had a cheat sheet telling you when and where to always go so he left some stuff out and changed the coordinates of some contacts and courses enough to make you search for things |
