I have been looking for a couple of days now for a mod that I really thought was out there. Is there a mod that fixes or improves the "ship on rails" effect that is most noticible in rough seas.
Does anybody know of one?? Thanks D40

You may want to give Websters Ship Maneuvering Fix

Are you playing stock? Most supermods deal with this issue. Course you can adjust it more, but it's a fine balance.

Thanks for tha tLittica Marek, I'm already using GFO. If I'm not mistaken, Webster has included this in GFO. D40 Quote:
As you can see above, yes I'm using the stock missions right now with GFO. Before I go to any of the supermods, I always wanted to get through the war in the stock game (as good as I could get it anyway). So, I'm just looking for the best mods out there to get it as good as it can be. Anyway, thanks. D40 ![]()

Most env. mods have dealt with the rails effect. Not sure what env. mod GFO uses or if Web has adjusted the effect. Maybe you just want more effect.
I don't know of another mod or recent one anyway that increases pitch and roll more than what now exist. There use to be a ROW pitch and roll mod, but again, most supermods and env. mods have this or an improved version. They're numerous values that adjust this effect from sim files to scene dat. files. If you want to play with it, try searching "ship on rails" or "pitch and roll" to get an idea of what numbers are being used. |

Vickers!
This worked great! When I opened the game after enabling this, I was in a heavy windstorm, so there was lots waves tossing the boat around. The boat seems totally free. They give several versions for each mode of play TMO/GFO ect. Since I use GFO with some other mods mixed in it works just fantastic. Much better than I hoped. Thanks for the tip. Good Hunting D40
