Not bad, but lacking in detail. I've seen much better.

To compliment what Steve said, it is also a bit dated. I am curious to know what new information has appeared in the intervening years between this production and today.

Thank you for your personal opinions but my only point of view about this documentary about Bismark its about underwater reserch...i want only to be sure if the Bismark in her final hour was realy sunk by her crew or is sunk by enemy fire was the English clain to be...
My interest in this particulary documentary its about this two questions and only with a underwater serch of the wreck we can be sure about what really happened... P.S. About the "details" and about the documentary himself i dont have formed opinion and dont bring me any news witch i all really know about it, because untill now i never see another documentary about the same topic posted in this forum witch i was able to compare with this one... Good night

Sorry, I didn't mean for you to be insulted.
As for who sank the Bismarck, I don't see that it much matters. Each side wanted to sink the wreck so the other side couldn't salvage it for propaganda purposes, but in fact at that point it was just a burning wreck. From the description of the crew of Rodney and KGV it was listing heavily, burning from end to end, and probably would have gone down within a few hours anyway. As for other documentaries, the only one I could find with a quick search was this one: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ck+documentary I've seen several on TV over the last twenty years, and quite a few of them are available on YouTube. Some are better than others. My comments weren't aimed at you, just at the fact that I've seen better.

![]() I think Dorsetshire gave Bismarck finishing blow while perhaps at the same time Bismarck crew were setting scuttling charges. Does it make any significant difference to you wether it sank more due to scuttling than from torpedoes ? ![]() |

This, in my opinion, is the best documentary on Bismarck.
