Qualifications
Anyone know of a mod that when I return from a patrol I can have more than one crew member qualified rather than one at a time after each mission ?

Yes. SH3 Commander lets you qualify everybody after one quick shakedown cruise. It also adds a host of other cool features to the game. It's the best tool ever made for SH3.

For those without SH3Commander, you can manually edit your player's Crew_Career_xx.cfg file after the first completed patrol and do the same thing.
c:/MyDocuments/GWX/data/cfg/Careers/Player name/Crew_Career_highest number).cfg Use the FIND function (CTRL+F) to locate your man, scroll down to the line after his rank and give him the number and type of qualifications you want. Note that officers can have up to 3 quals; Petty Officers can have only 1 (functional). You can actually give more quals to POs but only the first one is recognized in the game. [CREW_MEMBER_0] Name=Fritz Vowe Index=18 NrComp=0 Type=2 Grad=7 Renown=400.000000 Patrols=1 Morale=0.800000 Fatigue=0.000000 HealthStatus=0 WasWounded=No HitPoints=15.000000 Experience=521.250000 Rank=7 <=Lieutenant NrQual=3 <= insert number of qualifications desired Qualification0=1 <= add code # for Gunner Qualification1=8 <= add code # for Repair Qualification2=0 <= add code # for Watchman Note that the NrQual number MUST MATCH the number of QUALIFICATION lines entered. Qual codes: 0 = watchman 1 = gunner 2 = flak gunner 3 = radio/sonar (can't be given to an officer) 4 = helmsman (non-functional eye candy in SH3) 5 = mechanic 6 = torpedoman 7 = medic 8 = repair NOTE: By default, SH3 and GWX list a both a Matrosengefreiter and Bootsmann's rank as a zero so unless the Bootsman is already qualified when you get him (you get 1 watchman, and 1-2 mechanics and 1-3 torpedomen by default depending upon boat type and war year), you can't find the Bootsmann by merely scrolling down the 120 Crew_MEMBERS in the file. You'll have to write down their names first before exiting SH3 to do the editing. That's the long way. The short way is to dismiss all unqualified Bootsmen or unwanted qualified Bootsmens (like the medic) and replace them with either Stabsbootsman [Rank=4] or Stabsoberbootsman [Rank=5] purchased from the barracks . That done, you can simply PageDown through the file to quickly find them and change their NrQual to 1 and add in the Qualification0=x line
