The real Spartacus is Kirk Douglas and he is still with us iirc.

I've never seen the show and know nothing of its cast, but I'm still saddened when someone dies so young.

It was a good, but quite cheesy show. Blood n' boobs fest

I knew he had been fighting it for some time and the second season was delayed because of it. Same age as me.. poor fella.

RIP

Blood n' boobs...what more could we wish for? some of the women in it needed 'nailing' LOL
Although the original Spartacus was far better,In my humble opinion

Loved the show and hated the show.

It was cheesy, cartoony, sex was overused, like it was put in just to make an episode last 40min, the fight scenes were made like a baaaad japaneese cartoon

But it showed the system of owning a slave, a gladiator, the hierarchy within the ''brotherhood'' and Lucy Lawless with red hair

Too bad he died, he actually played his parts well

Aye, pretty much what kept me interested. Started watching the prequel series,
"Gods of the Arena" last night and quite like it. Seems to be more concentrated
on the school and how it got it's fame than a single gladiator.

Lucy Lawless' rather amazing boobies are of course present as well as John Hannah's
equally amazing choice of words when it comes to swearing.

So, how is "Vengeance"? In particular, how does it hold up without the amazing
performance of John Hannah as Lentulus Batiatus?
