Default Sounds

Since sound is such an important aspect of keeping a submarine and crew safe...what sounds do you find most disappointing? Which provoke the most concern?

For disappointing, I'll have to go with the sound of a torpedo bouncing off a ship's hull.

Most concern? Close warship props when the batteries are nearly depleted and the co2 is in the red. Crew damage reports are worrying too.

I'm disappointed with the sounds of a sinking ship. I remember that Aces of the Deep DOS classic had some very creepy noise that was heard in the U-boat and not only in hydrophone. I found the noise pleasantly disturbing and reminding me and my imaginary crewmen about what would most likely happen to us too. The noise helped me get motivated in doing the best I can not to get sunk.

Otherwise I've been pretty happy with the noises or I've changed them as people have been heavily modding SH3's sounds as well.

Is this stock? GWX? Have you tried DBSM? That's my favorite ship sinking sound.

I'll download DBSM as soon as I get to my own computer. Thanks for the hint Come to think of it I think I have Aces of the Deep somewhere and I guess I could change the sound myself.

My crew yelling at me whenever an airplane or warship is in-area. I'm not deaf. I'm the captain. I demand respect!!!!! (I almost replaced all their yelling voices with normal voices, but have you seen the list?)

The zing-zing-zing-zing of a destroyer's propellers as it sails straight over you.
