Wierd water graphics problem
Hey guys,
I am having a problem with the water graphics in SH5. I get these wierd semi transparent black lines about halfway down on my screen. The lines are static and vertical the whole length of the screen. It is hard to capture with a screen shot, but as soon as i move the camera the lines become very obvious as they stay in place, and in fact hurt my eyes quite a bit. Ive tried messing around with the settings on my nvidia control panel( I am running SH5 on a samsung series 7 gamer NP700G7C with a GTX 675m card) Below is a pic, hopefully you can see what im talking about in between the red lines. ![]() The lines are still there with or without mods but it seems a little less noticible without. This was one of the things I complained about during the release of this game. I noticed it quickly. Some sort of static grid effect. It kind of reminds me of graphics effect where you use a background filter to have an effect, it is often used when creating fire effects.
Anyways, what I would like to see improved in this game or a next one is how waves work. In real life, all the different large and small waves bump into each other at a much faster rate than we see in this game. In this game, waves bump and travel in a sort of slow motion, its not like that in nature. They bump very rapidly, creating splashes and stuff in the air. I would say the speed should at least be doubled than the present speed. And there are too few smaller waves, and too many large waves, there should be many smaller peak on top of large waves, making a pool of various waves and peaks. In this game it seems like all peaks are based from ground zero, they should also be based on top of large waves, creating a pyramid. Atlantic also have gigantic waves, I don't see them that often, not even when modded.
