Groton, Connecticut

The Thames River in Connecticut, USA, New London and Groton Cities has the USCG Academy, Electric Boat (Submarine Builder), Submarine Base, Airport - now, how do I add these to the map, so I can go in and see and play against this? I have in the game traveled up the Thames, but it is just land and trees. I really would like help here.
Then maybe I can post what I finished for others to enjoy.
I don't want to add a new mission, but make it a port like any other port in the game.
Oh! Please, I am very new to changing and update files, be very easy with me in details.

I live near the Thames Shawayward and you're right...nothing but trees and land unless you're looking to shell the Mohegan Sun Casino near Trading Cove or docking at the harbor in Norwich for a beer.
