Salut Capt

In the game of SH5 which I am playing I need some advice and info in regards to the END GAME or what we do within the game for example at present I am doing the Med conflict and the mission I am doing at present is to Knock Malta getting supplies makeing it easier for invasion at some time anyway stopped 20K of supplies to Malta but it seems to have made NO DIFFERENCE to the out look ie: Rommel is loseing ground and ports I have now started on the Gibralter section ie: kncking Battle ships out also fuel supplies to Malta etc etc what is really happening does completing your allocated mission etc help Germany advance in Africa also gaining ground in Malta and Helping the Italian Fleet being better in the Med so if what you are doing within the game has NO EFFECT and the outcome is going to be the same what ever you achieve what is the point of completing mission and tasks set you and poor old Rommel is still left in the lerch and will still lose, we are not altering the out come at all.

A long time ago I used to play LucasArts' Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain. They had a simple campaign set which allowed you to play either side, and if you did well enough you could control the outcome. I played the German campaign twice, and conquered Britain twice. After that it was boring.

The simple fact is that one u-boat could not have altered the outcome at all. A dozen extra u-boats would have made no difference. You can have a truly dynamic campaign that lets you win the war, or you can have a realistic one. Ubisoft chose the latter. I think in this case they made the right decision.
