Default Damage Q

Guys,

I had a blast of a game last night.

I was playing one of the quick missions I think Tokyo / Siapan convoy.

Anyway I got DC'd, and had 3 electic motors out, 3 deisels out, stern batteries out, and flooding in the stern torpedoe room and motor room.

But hull damage was at zero is this possible ?

I followed some of the tips in another thread on suviving damage and it worked spectacularly for me.

After getting my DC team going with a officer rated at 100% for leadership, my boat sank to 374 feet, I blew ballast and levelled out at 294. The boat commenced sinking again, I got to 427 and blew ballast again levelling out at 260.

I sank again, this time I got to 497 before blowing ballast, rising to just under 300, and by this time the flooding was under control, and the boat stopped at 306. I remained there for hours repairing the damage as about 6 escorts prowled overhead.

I did a visual at around 12 and there was just 1 damaged sub chaser that couldn't move left. I waited another 3 hours and blew ballast rising to the surface my deck gun was damaged and I was under fire.

I opened up on the sub chaser with my 20mm, pouring AP rounds in to it, then changed to HE, half a magazine later it exploded and sank.

I three Deisels ready and went flank (9 knots) and got the hell out of dodge.

Damned exciting. I must get myself blown all to hell to see what it's like.
