Default Off to Tokyo

Periscope down silent running. I'm off to Tokyo on business for a couple of days. Just sitting in the Qantas lounge in Sydney waiting for my flight. I'll try and post some pics if I get time but will definitely post a bunch when I get back.

Does anyone know if there are any worthwhile memorials or museums to visit? As I've only got a couple of days I'll need to be selective. Sayonara for now until I land and get near a network.

Not a museum or a memorial, but I strongly recommend you go to Tsukiji fish market for the tuna auctions, and then get some sushi for breakfast at one of the sushi stalls around the market.

It will most likely be the best sushi you will ever have.

Have a nice trip, beware the radiation monsters and stay away the used panties machines...the prices are inflated with the economic crisis!

Have fun!

if you intrested in this kind of thing, buy some electronics from japan. Last time I went there, you still get much better electronics in japan than the US

One of the reasons I love the Japanese rail network is that its well thought and laid out. Unlike the mess of points, crossovers and lines we've got running here in Melbourne.

Looking forward to seeing more pics from you Tarjack. My plan for when I get out to Japan is to check out Saporro and the northern island. Then come back down to Tokyo/Kyoto to see what needs seeing.
