from unlimited fuel to limited fuel

Hello SH5 fans, I have started my campaign and so far its been going great, having trouble seeking the amc ships, but so far so good.

Problem is I started this campaign with unlimited fuel since I didn't know what are limits to distance in the campaign.

So I was wondering if any of you guys know how to change the settings to limited fuel to my ongoing campaign, cause it looks like the game can't do that

NOT Main menu!
Load your save game or start new Campaign. When get into bunker press Esc, go to Options click Game option. And just thick what you want to change: Air, Battery, Feul etc. Ok - accept changes and that`s it.

If you go to limited fuel - remember to watch your speed. 7.5 knots was recommended to me for best range/fuel mileage.

Correct. 7.5 knots is hard coded as the most economical fuel speed. Across all the Silent Hunter games, you should be able to squeeze 9000nm out of your u-boat (not taking into consideration the silly extension skills in 5).

should be interesting to trial this out then lol that is if i dont run aground on sand banks i dont notice

Go to your SH5 save game folder in my documents .
Go to Documents\SH5\data\cfg\main
Look for the line and change to these settings in yellow .
[TIME COMPRESSION]
LandProximity=1,256

Dont use travel mode for regular travelling
