Default Alarms over Obama coup against Constitution surging

Okay, site is a bit wing nut in some ways, but it makes some solid points, so read it.(standing by for the usual trolls to roll in the insults and no valid counter points)

Valid counter points eh??????

So the article is a re run of several of their popular crazy conspiracy theories in a single piece.
Its even got the death camps and obamas secret army of nazi dentists. But hold on, no 9/11 or birther stuff.
I like how it brings in as "credible mainstream" sources the people who brought you the "Stephen Hawkin would be dead if there was a national health service" bull.

So, how many "issues" in that conglomeration have not already been dealt with in detail on this forum and shown for what they are?

I didn't read bubbleheads link, but the facts are:
The US government is increasingly undermining the constitution, Im afraid they do have Containment Camps, though nobody know what they are actully for as there is no transparency on them (that in it self is rather worrying).
You have local malitias setup in 14 states. The dollar is becoming over inflated. (the US gov now borrows 42 cents of every dollar it spends.)
Many enconomists are predicting another financial crisis towards the end of 2012. (nothing to do with the Mayan calander mind you. )
Sure we can all laugh a the foil hats, as they tend to go overboard, over exadurate and jump to conclusions. But unfortuntaly in this day and age, quite a few of these 'nutjob' concerns appear to be increasingly justified.

Interesting. I recall that much the same arguments were raised in 1984 as to why Ronnie should not be re-elected, along with the one about a senile old codger pushing the wrong button and starting global thermonuclear war.

Maybe if the Republicans had'nt mortally wounded their own candidate, they would not be so worried.

Now you're sounding just like Torvald with his "usual suspects". You openly invite this stuff, and that's indicative of just how far outside normal rationality your political thinking is. If you'd listened to what we told you the first time around you wouldn't have problems with "Trolls". The fact that you made the comment marks you as troll-bait and as a troll yourself. You need to stop leaping and start thinking.

As Bilge_Rat said, the Lefties made these claims against Reagan, and then against GW, and the Righties said the same things about Clinton. The wonderful watchdogs who protect us from ourselves always seem to cling to one side or the other, and never have anything reasonable to say. It's always "Bush this" and "Obama that", and they never actually discuss anything, just preach. They are the voice in the wilderness, and God is on they're side, and if only we'd listen they could save us all from some bogeyman or another. One thing they never see is that those of us who truly do think about these things believe that they are just as dangerous as the people they want to save us from.

Sure, I have problems with Obama, and it's true that the government always manages to erode our freedoms until we get upset enough to do something about it, but that doesn't mean he's planning to usurp the Constitution and make himself President For Life, and if he did the people themselves would never stand for it.

As Jefferson pointed out, "The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield and government to gain ground."

Yea but that was just left wing garbage meant to be used to bring him down because they could not make any legitimate attacks on his record.Like the article said, mainstream elements are catching on to this.Difference between Obama and Reagan is Obama actually has shown via some actions and comments in the last four years that he does indeed think he is the ultimate authority.Shows someone who just has a fundamental disrespect and dislike for the foundation of our country.

Very much agree. There is an interesting advantage to having rather a few years behind one's self: you probably have seen it all before. As Sailor Steve points out, these same theories, accusations, claims, etc. have a habit of popping up with some regularity, and from both sides. You could go back a couple of decades ago and probably find some newspaper or magazine article talking about the same extremist rubbish now spouted by a different wing of extremists. For example, those who ardently follow Ron Paul aren't all that much different that those who ardently followed Eugene McCarthy in the 60s and 70s. I have, in the recent past, given great annoyance to some of the younger persons who, believing they have just discovered "sliced bread", take umbrage when I point out there was somewhat the same situation/person/philosophy/etc. existed 30 or 40 years ago. The basic difference is, through technology, we are now more aware than in the days of paper materials and cathode ray tubes. The fundamental issues still apply and probably always will. The various theories, et. al. are more sideshow distraction than Main Event...

Sailor Steve, as a rocker, probably knows where this came from:

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

Of course was. When they do it it's left wing garbage. When you do it it's God's own truth.

Sailor Steve, you'd be surprised...

For some of today's people, any thing before 'N SYNC is ancient history, kinda like in the 90s when some people were asked about McCartney and were surprised he had bee in a band before Wings...

Let's be serious, I don't think this is likely no matter who is President, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Nixon, etc. If ever a President overrules a Supreme Court ruling or tries a "coup", it will be as big an event as 1860.

I haven't seen any indications that he hates his own country, so he must be a really good liar. How do you prove your judgments against the man if you have never actually met with and talked with him on occasion? I'd say go make friends with him and find out what he's really all about.
