Many local business' are moving too, for the safety of their families incase the Taliban take over again. Like who could see that coming! But this is Karzai's answer to the problem

"President Hamid Karzai said at a news conference this month. “Curses be upon such businessmen that made tons of money here and now that the Americans are leaving they flee. They can leave right now. We don’t need them.”

He's been watching way too many Harry Potter movies!

The friends I know who have served there, have made it back in one piece thank God, but it looks like any kind of progress they have made, at such a high price, will be undone in months and everyone will be left thinking 'what was the point'. However ridiculous the decision was to go in, there's not going to be much to salvage from the situation in a few years.

I present to you the greatest technical achievement to ever come out of Afghanistan, the multitool. While it may look like a rock nothing could be further from the tooth, it is a genuine afghan multitool.

It was brought back by a friend who served a tour there.
