Executive Officer:Erich Van Dobenecker goes AWOL?

I am using Darkwraith`s NewUIs TDC 6_9_0_Navigation. I am also studying Stoianm`s How to use RAOFB tutorial in 4 parts.
When I lock on to a target Executive Officer:Erich Van Dobenecker`s does not appear on lower right of screen to help conduct torpedo attacks. Stoianm also uses the same UI 6.9.0. and Erich Van AWOL does appear. I am using realistic nav as is Stoianm how ever Mr. AWOL does make his appearance for him! I`m sure it might be a setting somewhere but I can`t locate it. I need him more for calculating range than anything else.
