Default "US snubs out legal cigar transaction" ?

Cuban cigars, that is -
http://cphpost.dk/news/international...ar-transaction
Now they use the "war on terorism" to justify all ?

Good that John F. Kennedy ordered 1200 cigars for him, a day before the Embargo against Cuba was enacted

When will the US ever decide to stop this stupid embargo? If it has not worked in the first 50 years, why would anyone think it will suddenly work in the second 50 years.

The answer, I am afraid, is pride. And pride is a lousy way to conduct foreign policy.

Sure you complain but who besides America will fight to keep the dangers of communism from infiltrating Western Europe!

Think about it, one day your smoking Cuban cigars the next your queuing up for free government funded medical treatment! Its a slippery slope.

Oh wait...

"Torben Nødskouv intended to resell the cigars through his small business Cigarhuset and made the transaction in dollars with a Hamburg-based distributor.

But the transaction, which was automatically routed through the US, was picked up by American authorities who froze the money, arguing that the transaction violated the American trade embargo with Cuba.

Nødskouv appealed after the $20,000 transaction was frozen last autumn, but the money may be permanently lost after he was recently informed that it would not be returned to him."

Sounds funny, but if i were Mr. Nødskouv i would really think hard about doing anything in Dollars anymore ..

..but wait, if Denmark refuses to pay with dollars anymore and disregards the lead currency, we will see an invasion against the danish insurgents soon ... after Iran maybe.

[...]
ah, will post that in another thread ..

As to the rest, I don't disagree. My mother and both sisters are/were Bahai'i. I grew up around the faith and the many Iranian ex-pats involved in the faith here in the states.

In general, Iranians over 60 and under 30 have no ill will toward the US. Quite the contrary.
