low fps in game silent hunter 5

Hello all, i have a question. How is it possible, when i play GTA4 having a fps of 38 (GTA4 Benchmark), and when i play silent hunter 5 i have (in Harbour) a fps of 6-7? i have a high end comp (specs below), and would like to know how you guys their fps is when playing silent hunter 5. (everything on maximum settings)

HP Pavilion dv7 notebook
Intel core I7 -2630 QM 2.00 Ghz 8 cpu's (2 Ghz)
8192MB RAM
Windows 7 64 Bit

That is actually more taxing on the system than full screen mode

What about the graphics card?

Reduce shadows in the in-game menu and see what happens.

Defrag defrag and more defrag, works wonders for me on SH5 and FSX, every little helps as they say

That's one. The other is vsync. Kill it.

Also, this game, as I learned myself, is enormously CPU intensive.
