Default Ride of your life

"sense of humour"...?

"thrill and kill"...?

http://au.news.yahoo.com/odd/a/-/odd...d-kill-riders/

When I stumble over things like this I usually first think that I have a bad dream.

There's no scale to it (excluding the picture hung on the wall in the background) so it is very difficult to believe that speeds of 100km/s (really? ) could be attained at all.

Here are some speed conversions of that 100km/s

Mach 302

224,000 mph

360,000 km/h

194,000 kts

So, basically, the article is a load of balls!

According to Wiki, the fastest (steel) roller coaster goes up to 240km/h.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euthanasia_Coaster

Doing further search via Google showed that it probably was all not meant that serious as I took it initially. Emotional reflex, maybe - in Germany the word "euthanasia" is extemely heavily preloaded with negative sentiment, for obvious historical reasons.

And it was designed by an engineer! I've seen better (more realistic) by a seven-year-old and a copy of Theme Park World.

I'll be back soon, I'm off to Lithuania to get my Engineering degree!

.

.

.

I'm back, Betonov* got the last one off the photocopier.
