I'm a bloody newbie

Hello all.

Ive been searching (will keep on) for good realistic games since many many years ago. Now i'm flying my flight simulator on daily basis for almost a decade and finally i found this sub simulator and i directly fell in love. I'd like to to thank to all enthusiasts here that they have made good add ons that add depth to realism.

This is my first post yet i have a question to ask.

How do I enable "external view/free camera" in realistic difficulty on Trigger Maru Overhauled? I've been looking here and there but no avail.

Im aware that the free camera is disabled for the sake of realism thou I intend to enable it just to get proper view of my sub, that's all. (as i love taking screenshots)

I don't know about Trigger Maru,but in FORTS, which is simmular just press F12 and that will bring the external cam up.

unfortunately, I did that but didnt work. it does work when setting easy difficulty. I want to keep the manual targeting but enable the free camera. Thanx for your reply sir.

Go to the options and make sure you turn them on. If you are playing with "realistic" settings, all of that is turned off. You need to turn those settins off.

bebop; look in the mod documentation, the manual has a FAQ that will explain what you need to edit. It also contains alot of other usefull info such as how enemy sonar works in the game etc.

Just to expound upon danurve's advice, look specifically in the .pdf file. There is detailed information (step by step) on how to activate certain items in the mod.

Now, I'm roughing it.

Love the siggy pic! The smell is the money that remained in my pocket when they decided I wasn't a customer of theirs. I'll bet the DRM cost Ubi millions of dollars.

Are you using the "Gold Edition" ? It comes as already upgraded to 1.5.

What Flight Sim are you flying?

Any sim gets old after a while so my way to keep it fresh is to alternate between SH4, Civ 5, and the WW1 flight sim OFF.

Have fun and enjoy life.

Name=Camera_on_prev_unit
Ctxt=1
;Key0=0xBC,,"<"
Page=0x34000000,3714

Simply remove the semicolon placed in front of the key assignment, and you have the next/previouscameras back. Note: this will restore the hot keys. It will not restore the buttons on the ordersbar."

Also, as stated make sure you enable cams, in campaign mode you must set options in the office clicking on the radio to the left.

Yes I bought it about last month, and never tried the previous series. I read reviews to decide which version is the most favorable (and suits my rig), SH4 that is, of course this is my opinion.

I use Flight Simulator 2004 and 24GB of add ons.. I have invested quite much to get it as real as it gets. Actually Im fond of Tanks as my dad was in the army, but couldnt find a decent tank sim (let me know if I miss something). Frankly, SH4 is the best warfare sim I ever known, lucky to be here mate.. thank you for your friendly response.

will comply sir, I think I missed the "clicking on the radio to the left" part, as clicking in the option main menu didn't work.
