Default Hydrophone problem

Hey

I noticed my hydrophone guy spots units when I am on surface too. I installed mods which should fix it but they didn't. Here is my mod list. I hope they are in good order.

You missed IRAI_0_0_30_No_hydrophone_on_surface which is part of the IRAI mod. The Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast mod might do the trick, depending on which hydrophone you have installed.

I used IRAI_0_0_30_No_hydrophone_on_surface too but I still had problem, than I found topic where someone adviced to remove it and use The Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast but it didnt help neither ... not sure maybe I installed them in wrong order.

Another question is should I restart campaign to see changes ?

Install IRAI_0_0_30_No_hydrophone_on_surface after The Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_byTheBeast for the IRAI mod to take priority.

Unless something's changed in Equip Upgrades, it won't override the no hydro on surface mod (at least it doesn't for me).

I rather suspect you're starting out in Coastal Waters campaign in the Type 7a. It has side-mounted hydrophones with with 45 degree baffles front & rear, and should work on the surface - the sensors are mounted along the hull.

After two or three patrols you will be offered the upgrade to the deck mounted sensor, 360 degree hydrophone (I forget the name) while in bunker - that hydrophone, and none of the ones that follow it will work on the surface, thanks to the IRAI no hydro mod.

Yes I started in Costal Waters ... so it explains everything why I can use it on surface I played a lot SH4 few years ago and I remember I could use hydro only underwater but looks like Ubots systems worked a bit difrent than US subs
