Default Radio Messages

Hi guys,i read on the forum somewhere about radio messages only being for immersion purposes, does that include the ones that put a marker on your map?.
I am currently en-route to my patrol area and recieved a message about a large convoy approaching me from the NW,close enough for me to wait and ambush them.
I am running GWX Gold with SH3 Commander.
Happy Hunting

No it doesn't. The radio reports that put a marker on the map are the ones you should take action on.

Hope you make contact and sink a few ships.

Also, there are radio messages about the real operations of that time, especially in the beginning of the war. For example Unternehmen Weserübung in Norway or the evacuaton of Dunkirk. Those are not only for immersion: You will find ships there.

Defnitely only for immersion are messages like SOS-calls from British ships or requests from BDU that some U-Boot other than yours should report in.

I'd highly recommend you use this:

http://www.gamefront.com/files/21276...rders_Lite_rar

From the readme:

Quote:
GWX 3.0 Mission Orders Lite is based upon GWX 3.0 Mission Orders plus a cut down version of the original GWX 3.0 messages. It makes you receive only 228 messages throughout the campaign, all of which are relevant to missions scripted into GWX or important to your decision making process (e.g. location of supply ships)
Installation:
This mod is fully JSGME ready:
Extract the 'GWX 3.0 Msn Os Lite' folder into JSGME MODS and install.
