Default Stormys DBSM with sounds only (default keyboard)

Hi

I've been trying to get just the Stormy 1.3 DBSM sounds to work without the dive fix, and with the SH5 default keyboard layout (to start with).

After installing the mod with JSGME, I replaced Stormys command.cfg ny restoring the SH5 one that was there before. The idea was to get it to work like this first, and then later alter the command.cfg to utilise the special sounds.

However, I'm still struggling with the getting it to work at all. Pressing certain keys causes it to CTD (even before I change the command.cfg). After changing the commad.cfg to the SH5 layout, for example pressing "R" (surface) will cause a CTD.

I've probably overlooked something, or got my mod order wrong. I've included an image of my mod list, so you can see what's been overwritten

I'd appreciate some help with this - I'm very keen to use this sound mod.

...as i told allready, you have to install the required mods first, Mighty Fine Crew Mod is one of them which is much important.

...Mighty fine crew Mod coms with an optional crash dive fix, i recommend installing it (this isn`t a requirement only a recommendation) after Mighty fine crew mod following it`s documentation.

With the crash dive fix enabled there are some pro`s & contras you should know:

Pro`s:
- Crash dive commands from surface are executed more solid.
- Crash dive commands are executeable while standing on the bridge using a leveling command or dive gauge click order. Be shure you climb the ladder down fast enough after donig this, otherwise you have to hold your breath for some time

Contra`s
- Pre flooding (running decks a`wash) isnt possible, because a crash dive is executed instead. (in my eyes the boat dive unrealsitic fast anyways, so why the hell using deck a`wash ?)
- Maybe problems using automated scripts (useable with New UI`s). These scripts using leveling commands in between while executing maneuvering commands on surface.

You should also know that the Steel Viking interrior mod uses some performance / memory hungry shadows which can lead to problems using it with other performance hungry mod`s.

SDBSM have an option to spare some memory by installing "remainig orig sounds converted to 22khz" mod.

Thanks. I had misunderstood what MFCM does. I thought it was just four diffrerent sets of optional faces and beards, but I see that there is much more to it than that. I've tested it now with the SH5 command.cfg and it works just great, but I think I need to do some manual configuration in there to get all of the sounds to work. For example, I'm not getting any repsonse for "F" (Periscope depth) but I guess I just need to edit the command and make sure it plays your sound file.

I wanted to go all out @ 100% without the hud and nothing to guide me ..So Iam learning as well what you can do and cant do in installing mods .. I think That I have spent the last week tweaking my mods list and customizng the game how I would like it . I ran imto this post because I was testing a effevt mod from TDW . and I did not get any notifcations about dept charges being dropped ., So I ended upi lokking at a minor mod and than I got ahold of this mod which also included the WASSER BOBDEN Mod .. , All I have to say Is I have alitte more tweaking and I will be felling like iam ina real u=-boat .. I have to configure some of TDWS displays on screen , I do Not want to have screens of controls , , So ill have to tweak a little bit more and than Ill have a perfect Vurtual sub .. This Mod Is fantastic .. .. The only anooying thing is when you are in , or at the hydro station this guys keeps farting alot .. it annoying !

You can have a perfectly clean HUD with my UIs mod. You can set up everything to scroll into view when you mouse into it's area. That's how I have mine setup. The only thing visible are those little alarm squares in the upper right corner

Thanks TDW .. I have set-up My game exactly like this .. This sure feels like Iam aboard My U-boat .. Oh By the way .. I finally figured out how to change the Ships Journal .. You have two options py. files .. , one for the path that you direct to tdwuis/mods/tdwuis/menu/scripts/options.py etc .. if only change that the game will still only show the default name etc .. I had to copy and paste that same edited file to the sub-folder of your UIs .. . In your instructions you have whoever merge thier MODS folder with your UIs . thus it creates two options.py files .. Etc .. Took me awile to figure this out .. But I fianlly got it ..

I love the interface and soon Ill become an ace like you ans stoianaim and others .. Imersion level is awesome .. I wish there was more online battles so we all could be in a wolfpack and kill some ships

...uhm ive also taking care of this nice TDW New UI`s "scroll into view" option, (as much immersion as possible, using as much reduced menue clutter as possible) customized settings for that comms with my options file for TDW`s New UI`s, downloadable from SDBSM`s release post, maybe you need to migrate (use TDW options migrator tool) the file for the latest New UI`s version.

"brrrr" easy easy, hold your horse back, the AI in MP is still broken (only 1 sub get attacked at time) and iam not shure if TDW is allready on that seriously.
