I feel a hankering to strike out in a U boat in the Atlantic this weekend, do I dusted off my old copy of SH3 and installed GWX. However, I did wonder how SH5 had progressed since launch. Even though I am an avid subsimmer I didn't purchase it yet due to the DRM and buggy release condition.
Question for the community: 1) Have the 2 patches substantially addressed most of the issues ? 2) I saw that the steam version of SH5 is not compatible with (at least one) key mod. Does anyone know if the UBI digital download would be compatible, ie is it basically an iso install ? I am keen to hit the sealanes this weekend, so my options are 1) Buy the Ubi Digital Download and hopefully be able to mod or 2) head out to sea in old reliable (ie SH3). Appreciate your recommendations ! |

Head out on old reliable for now, and order the DVD version of SH5 on amazon from this site.

WELCOME ABOARD!
![]() Mobucks' advice is good. SH5 is extremely cheap on Amazon, and if you order it through the link at the bottom of the page Subsim gets a cut.
