Information Request: U.S.S. Iowa Career Mode Editing

I need to edit the U.S.S. Iowa's munitions from the U.S.S. Iowa Career Mode mod, so that I can add High Explosive munitions to the 16 inch guns, and subsantially increase the damage output of those munitions so that they ACTUALLY do damage to the Yamato when the Iowa faces off against it.

By default, the Iowa barely dents the Yamato.

Help me out please. Thanks.

P.S. yes, I have looked for tutorials and none of them were concise enough for me to figure it out. I need someone experienced with modding in SH4 to get this problem dealt with.
