A bit of funny history
British Major Alexis Casdagli made this cross stitch in 1941 while being held in a German POW camp and the Nazis put it on display. What they never realized is that the dots and dashes on the inner borders were a secret message.
The first is "God Save the King" and the second...well, I can't really tell you what the second is here.  You'll just have to use this morse code chart and translate it yourself (or read the story and it'll tell you, but that's a lot less fun) http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandsty...titching-nazis
