Some thoughts.

This game is cool. I like to look at the config files in my documents/save game folder and see where the ships I just sunk came from and were going too. That is so cool, plus Dark Wraiths UI mod allows you to save the positions of the sinkings for later games, as long as you save the log after you quit the game (that is not so user intuitive BTW). This was not in SH4, so that is a plus for this game, as well as this game seems to have a much more dynamic 'universe'. More atmospheric for sure than SH3, but what I do miss the most from SH4 especially is the crew management page, where you could promote and give medals to your crew. I think that is a negative for the game. Without the mods, the good mods at that, this game I think would have sunk in Scapa Flow. Kudos for the dedication. That keeps these type of sims alive. K

You should try real navigation . It adds another dimension that SH3 never had . Not knocking SH3 .

I just looked at the readmes for Real Navigation - wow, some serious hardcore stuff there!

How to set it up so its easy .
Use Trevally Automated Scripts v0.6 mod and you get a fix every 2 hours which is marked on your navmap . Couldnt be any easier and fun than that .
