Default Type 7c/42 files question

I want to know where the game gets the properties for the 7c/42, ie the periscope depth, engine telegraph settings, etc, so I can modify one of the speed settings.

Another, more complicated issue: I have successfully made a Type 7c/42 available for a 1939 campaign start with all the latest gismos and gadgets already equipped, though I'm not sure if the radar or RWR are working right yet. I tried out WB's Type XXI in 1939 but decided that I wanted the latest Type 7 instead. I wonder if anyone can give me any pointers on this. As I have it now if I touch the radar, sonar, or RWR in the equipment upgrade screen they will break in game. I don't think the radar is working correctly at all anyway: out on patrol the radar operator will not report any contacts (I'm not seeing anything on the scope either) that I already know are within 20k (using M.E.P.'s 20k atmosphere) after a storm rolled in killing visibility, and in port he will report many contacts at medium and long range when I know they are rather close.

I'm not sure if this is the normal range of the radar or if there was another setting that I missed to make it work in 1939. I think it has something to do with there not being a NSS_Uboat7c/42 folder.

Last question: I'm still getting sonar destroyed and RWR destroyed messages at start of patrol, yet the sonar works normally, and the bulge on the front under the keel is still there, as well as the send ping button at the station. Will the RWR still work like the sonar? I'm using the one mounted on the snorkel, and since GWX replaced the entire snorkel model to mount the RWR, it doesn't get destroyed visually, so I can't tell if it'll work like the sonar or not.

Just like most of my other games, I end up spending 10 fold more time modding than I do playing.
