I have recently purchased SH5 and have been experimenting with the goblin editor. Mostly I have been editing the sim and zon files, and it seems that when I alter the submerged range it has no effect no matter how much I change it by. I would greatly appreciate any help as to what i'm missing/doing wrong. thanks!

I have no idea what you're trying to do, I just go slower to increase range, but welcome to the forums anyway!

you will find this game, just like all sh games are frustrating to mod since some files just dont act as they should with the settings you change.
often you have to change different things to create a situation that effects something else and ends up getting a reaction close to what you were looking for. thats the fun and challenge of modding to figure out things like a puzzle thru trial and error because 1+1 never equals 2 with modding the sh games lol. sim files mostly control imput actions like speeds and batteries and zon files usually control the effects of imput actions like hull damages and crush depths. dat files are mostly for environment imput to the boat |
