WELCOME ABOARD!

If your new sound file is not in .ogg format the speech system won't be able to read it. You need to convert it to the proper format. There are several free programs that let you do this. One of them is www.goldwave.com.

hello sailor, and thank you
I create my sound with nero sound trak, this is done, I export to ogg audio format, then I renames the file by creating ogg one I want to replace, then I made a copy and paste to replace the old file with the new .
At this stage all works, the sound is playing ogg,
but in games it does not work ... and it can be too big in size?
example, the original file 40 kb, and the new 900ko.

Congratulations to all on this site for all the wonderful work you produce a big thank you

That might do it. I did some sound mods for SH3, and when a file is too big it sometimes starts to loop and keep playing, but I've never heard of one just not playing.

I haven't done it for awhile, so I'm not sure exactly what could be causing it.

You may want to check at which bitrate you save the new file. I guess it must be the same rate as the original.
Bitrate for .ogg files can be anything between 48Kbps and 500Kbps.
The higher the bitrate, the higher the quality, and the bigger the file, obviously.
