CTD during tutorials.....ARGH.....

I have been starting to enjoy and work with the tutorials that I have downloaded in the mod section but I keep getting "Crash to Desktops" at different points in the lessons.....also sometimes the "steps" are frozen and I cant move past the task to get to the next step in the lesson...

Just venting but it is lame as it is usually when I am about to fire and see how things come out...

Something bugged or just my PC getting hot etc?
