sh3 commander -promotion prerequisites

ive seen a pic bout a question on damages and noticed the guy had upgraded all his skill sets....all my crewmen (bar a couple of guys) have been wiv my current skipper since the beginning...

Wouldnt it now be time to promote some of them up from simple bootsmen to the brown outfitted officers? Or perhaps note down who i've got where nd award skillls accordingly first...

I simply not sure atm as relatively new to using commander properly.

Afaik you can't promote greyshirts to brownshirts. Or do I misunderstand you?

Once there at the top rank that's it. Keep them or dismiss them.

Promotions, like medals are limited to category...max out the awards and the experience will come with each new patrol...unless I'm also misunderstanding you.

You mean the Petty Officers? If your Boat has the maximum of Petty Officers you can't promote them. If you have say 19/20 you can promote ONE of yor Bootsmen to an petty Officer.
