Hey folks, how's it going?
I used to play modded SH4 and have recently tried to pick up SH5 magnum opus. Without bringing up the extreme rage and fury I have for ubisoft and their long history of releasing what can only be described as alpha builds, I want to ask how on earth I'm supposed to find targets. I'm playing the British supply mission in the firs campaign. I'm already using up 3% of my fuel getting there, and once I'm there, I can't seem to find any ships to attack. On the rare occasion that I DO pick up a hydrophone contact, I can never chase them down because I can't ever get close enough to make visual contact. I admit that I'm very rusty, but I just can't seem to do this. Any advice? |

It took me almost 15 days in my first patrol make a visual contact, just be patient, and use Trevally Scripts, it can help you a lot on patrol.

tbh I think this is the reason why we were left with hydrophone contacts whilst surfaced (to get the range), I agree its not realistic but from a pure gameplay mechanic it must speed up the detection aspect of the game.

You'll get there with a little practice...it does take a bit of time.
