Steinbarsch Torpedo ever really used?

Well i was messing with SH4 and i know that the walter sub was a historical inaccuracy but about the steinbarsch torpedo was it ever operational in WW2. If i remember correctly it had the walter turbine hit 45 knts and had a larger tnt warhead mixed with a new explosive. If it was did it ever sink a ship?

The Type XVIII? Yes, this was a historical inaccurancy as this boat was never built (started to, but not completed). But Walter Uboats in general were built, V 80, 2x Wa 201, 2x Wk 202, 3x Type XVII B. At the end of the war, 3x Type XXVI W were built at Blohm & Voss, but never completed. The Russians did in fact built it as Project 617, NATO code "Whale", rear end of a type XXVI W combined with the front end of a type XXI.
