Greetings folks i just got sh5 after some time away from the series i played sh4 a small amount but never realy liked being a yank as apose to a grey wolf (nothing against americans i just love naval history more specifly the uboat campaign of ww2.)

So i just registerd here and was wandering if anyone could recomend a few mods/addons to improve my game nothing too hardcore or complicated to begin with just i read that the base game isnt that great and its mods that make it what it is, so any recomendations to start me off maps/graphics/crew etc etc

Thanks for the warm welcome , managed to install some mods but 1 in particular im still trying to find on sh3 you could issue orders via the officer faces on the ui sh5 doesnt have this but a mod on this video



Also his map makes me want to jizz .

He's using my UIs mod. Look in the SH5 forums for NewUIs with TDC mod

Been trying most of the night to get it working in s h3 mode but no matter what i do it wont display once i reload the game, sure ive followed everything ok but im getting tired now so il try again in the morning.

Ps- if i enable a mod using the mod enabler and it greys a prevoius mods text in the right hand box..does it mean that the mod installed first wont work anymore?

that just means that two files are using the same file. The one you enabled after will overwrite the previous. This may or may not cause instablities depending on what your changing.

For the life of me i cant get youre excellent mod to work no matter what i do when i load up my campaign its the standerd ui, i whent into the py file and checked and its set to sh5enhanced and everything in the instructions i followed...im sure its something ive missed but for the life of me cant think or see what.

Now i feel like doing a massive facepalm,checked my root folder and i put all the mods into /c/ubisoft/support( i think it was) etc etc when the right place was actualy "C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
