Default Lock up issues, anyone ever had this?

SO, Im having issues with my PC, in games it at times will lock up for awhile, and not work, till i either jam Ctrl Alt Delete enough/wait it out.

Happens in game, or in desktop, usual with firefox/steam.

Its now software, as ive reformatted my PC.

My CPU/graphics card run at good temps, so thats not the issue, though other things in there, i dont know.

Sometimes the culprit can be your sound card, though you never mentioned odd sound noises before the lockups so most likely not the problem. My lockups were cause by the sound card after trying different drivers, windows default driver, switching PCI slots & still getting lockups I then took the card out and enabled the onboard sound, problem solved. Though I wouldn't say I solved the problem more I got rid of the problem by removing the card. lol

OK, so, new news

Ive ran some stress tests, to see if i can find the problem.

Ran a stress test on ram/CPU, for 2 hours, nothing failed.

Ran a stress test (Furmark) on my GPU for 5 mins, only lagged in the beginning abit, but other than that fine.

Ram a memory test, found no errors

PSU is brand new, and is more than what i need

Windows was reformatted, and installed afiew weeks ago to see if that was the issue, no cigar.

There are no heating issues i can see. GPU/CPU run at good temps.

And im running out of ideas (figured id list everything ive done out)

Guess ill try the ram...

As i noticed i have 2 sets in there, a PNY set, and a Samsung set. maybe one of them failed.
