Default How to read and follow up on ingame radio co-ordinates

As you know during the course of a typical patrol we recieve quite a lot of radio reports and some of the more important ones will include map co-ordinates detailing where the event took place, such as a sinking. Now some of you may know how to read these and some don't,I myself don't if I were to be honest.I do know that they are based on the meridian line,is that the blue vertical line on the nav map?
So,I will give you an example of a co-ord I recieved on my last patrol, and if you could briefly describe how to read and plot this on the map that would be great.

Long 10 degrees 09' E , Lat 54 degrees 20' N , heading 89 degrees

Many thanks

Typically messages that include lat/long coordinates instead of a KM grid map reference are there for immersion only. Even if you found the correct spot on the map, the action mentioned in the message will not have been spawned there so there is no reason to go to that location.

Unless you're into taking scenic detours merely for the sake of enjoying the journey...
